What's the newest version of?

What's the newest version of Windows Movie Maker for Windows XP? I have WMM but for some reason my laptop won't update it. So, what's the newest version of WMM? Or is there a way to make my laptop update WMM? BTW I do have Automatic Update on and I have WMM 2.1. And isn't WMM 2.2 the newest version?

The lastest version for Windows Movie Maker for Windows XP is v2.1.4026.0, usually its updated through windows update or Service Packs. Did you install SP3 on your laptop? Do you know what version you have? Go to C:\Program Files\Movie Maker folder and place your mouse over the moviemk.exe file will give you the file version.



You can try uninstalling and reinstalling again:

Windows Vista is the modern Operating System. Ensure you might have Windows Xp Sp2 hooked up, to grasp what variant you might have Select Start->Run In the Run command field form "winver" with out the prices, it is going to exhibit you what variant you might have. Erm, i think 2.1 is the latest updated version for XP. i know that Vista has now got version 2.6.
