I use to be able to import songs from my CDs, when i had iTunes 6.03. When I upgraded to iTunes 7.02, I can no longer do so. When I insert a CD into my computer, iTunes does not even recognize it.

WOuld be a good idea to mention if your cd drive is viewable. might just be the cd or something else has hold of it like wmp. Ive tried to burn using the windows burner with itunes running and becaue thats open it wont burn. check around for that. If the cds not reconized maybe apple burped and took usablility away and in that case email them. Maybe it was a simple oops and it will be fixed in next patch.

To import songs from CDs into your iTunes library:

Insert an audio CD into your computer's internal CD or DVD drive.

When the list of songs appears in the iTunes window, deselect (remove the checkmark from) any songs you don't want to import.

To add the selected songs to your library, click the Import CD button (at the bottom of the iTunes window).

To cancel importing, click the small X next to the progress bar at the top of the iTunes window.

When the songs are finished importing, click the Eject symbol to the right of the CD or click the Eject Disc button in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window.
