Question:
Microsoft Word 2007, cannot close just the document?

Why on the new 2007 version of Microsoft Word there is not a close or minimize button for the document you are working in. In order to close the document you have to close Word down altogether. This is a real nuisance when checking multiple documents. You have to close Word down and re-open it every time you want to open another document. How is this an improvement over previous versions of Word?

Each document opens in it's own window, so there's no need to minimize between documents (or you can minimize that window to the system tray using the standard minimize button).

If you're working on a document and you need to close it to work on a new document (ie: to close the document, but leave Word open), go to the 'Pearl' up at the top left of the Word document, and select Close. (CTRL-W also works)

You can have many documents open at once, however, if you want to close one without shutting down Word, here's how:

1. In the window of the document you want to close, click the round Office button in the upper-left corner of the window.

2. Click the Close menu item.

Hope that helps.

instead of choosing the finished call, attempt only putting the blinking cursor interior the path of the call. the midsection justify button will then perform on the only paragraph containing the cursor. Press CTRL-SHIFT-8 to toggle particular characters on. determine the paragraph separator ¶ seems on the tip of the call.

open a document.

Leave it open.

Open another document.

The two documents should be opened just as if you had two windows open while on the internet.

hope this helps :)
