I keep trying to install the windows vista service pack 2 but everytime i do keep getting this error code. Any ideas on what to do?

This is most likely partially or completely due to registry errors. I don't recommend tweaking the registry manually. It's too easy to break your system and cause it to no longer boot. What you should do is run a qualified registry tool. I recommend the following:
